“Do something in life that makes you happy” has been the philosophy of ITS founder Brian Engle since its creation in 2003. We enjoy our jobs. We enjoy making an impact every day that allows our customers to stay competitive in a global market and help to keep jobs in America. We also believe that employee happiness is crucial to business success and customer interaction too. Pride in their job and a sense of ownership is what separates ITS employees from the rest. The knowledge, skills, and attitude that each ITS employee possesses enables them to provide the most valued solutions in today’s complex control market.
Brian Engle ([email protected])
Brian co-found Industrial Technology Solutions, LLC (ITS) in 2003; he was 25 and had graduated from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers’ (IBEW) Inside Wireman apprenticeship program two years earlier. A dynamic and challenging career was Brian’s overarching goal when he decided to give the dream of self-employment and business ownership a shot.
ITS has grown and matured though the years and has flourished during difficult economic times by relying on Brian’s core values of customer service, quality, and real value. Not only has Brian kept his skills and knowledge on the cutting edge, he has also given the extra effort to share his knowledge with the organization that first trained him. Brian is currently an instructor and mentor for the students and Journeymen of the IBEW during the evening hours, while providing leadership for ITS during the day. As a trailblazer in the electrical technologies field, Brian has been able to bring real world expertise to the students involved in photovoltaic system design and installation, industrial and building automation, and instrumentation technologies.
Certifications and partnerships are an instrumental part of the electrical services field; Brian has amassed a significant level of training and certifications. Some of the major certifications Brian holds include: NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) a solar design and installation certification, BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International) a telecommunications design and installation registration, and EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) industrial instrumentation design, installation and calibration certification.
Brian has contributed to a number of technical publications on Industrial Automation (Control Design, Automation Notebook, Control Engineering) as well as Photovoltaic Systems (American Garage). Brian has also served as a consultant on two successful American Technical Publishing textbooks, Conduit Bending and Fabrication and Concepts in Motor Control.
Despite his demanding commitments as a business owner and instructor, Brian gives back to his local community through Rebuilding Together where skilled volunteers provide critical home repair and modification services to those in need at no cost to the homeowner. Additionally through his involvement with Engineers Without Borders (EWB-USA), Brian is able to apply his specialized knowledge and skills in the field of international humanitarian engineering.
John Engle
John started his electrical career at age 16, shortly before graduation from the Licking County Joint Vocational School. Graduating with the honor of Outstanding Electrical Student of the class of 1991 he also excelled and placed first in the State of Ohio in the Electrical Motor Control Competition earlier that same year. In 1992 he started his apprenticeship with The Electrical Trades Center, graduating in 1997. Soon after graduation he was offered an evening Instructor position. John has worked for several contactors on projects from small commercial installations to management of large scale industrial with over 130 electricians.
John joined the ITS team in the fall of 2010 as a Controls Specialist, and is an integral part of field installation and coordination. It is his goal to provide our customers with the best product possible and is not happy until the customer is.
In the spring of 2023, John accepted a full time teaching position at The Electrical Trades Center. While he is no longer a full time employee of ITS, he continues to be a valued member of the ITS family as a technical resource and as a beloved friend.
Taylor Roberts ([email protected])
Taylor started his electrical training at Eastland Career Center as a junior in high school, enrolled in their Electrical Technologies program. After graduating top of his class in 2013, the IBEW accepted Taylor into the Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Program. He completed his apprenticeship early in 2018, again at the top of his class, winning the Coleman Award. Soon after graduating, The Electrical Trades Center offered Taylor an instructor position. Taylor teaches Photovoltaics, Industrial Motor Control, and AutoCAD. Always looking to be a more well-rounded electrician and instructor, Taylor enrolled in the instructor training program from The National Training Institute, finishing that program in 2022.
Taylor joined Industrial Technology Solutions in 2013. He currently manages small-scale projects, specializing in control panel fabrication, AutoCAD electrical design, structured cabling installation, and access control systems. He prides himself in his attention to detail and work ethic. Producing a quality product for the customer is always a top priority to him.

Brit Ambrosio-Beuthe ([email protected])
Brit was dropped onto the Earth in the late 1980s, on a mission to wreak havoc. She plans to usher in a scourge onto humanity, the likes of which the world has never seen.
On a side quest from her mission of destruction, Brit joined the Electrical Trades Center’s Inside Wireman program on some date that I will need to look up later. On a different date, she finished the program at the top of her class, winning the Coleman Award.
Brit joined the ITS team in the spring of 2021. She brings her expertise on control circuits and PLC programming as well as a notable attention to detail that keeps ITS’s clientele coming back.
She promises that if you are nice to her, when the time comes, your death will be as swift and as painless as she sees fit.
Andy Posani ([email protected])
Andy graduated from the University of Dayton in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology while minoring in Music Technology. Upon his graduation from Dayton, he continued his education at the Columbus State Community College receiving an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences through The Electrical Trades Center, graduating at the top of his class and receiving the coveted Coleman Award beating out Mike Christian.
After a few years in the field, Andy moved to a Project Managing position with Capital City Electric. There, he managed mid- and small-scale commercial projects with the City of Columbus, The Ohio State University, and the Columbus Metropolitan Libraries.
Andy believes knowledge and certifications are important in the industry and continues his education. He holds certifications with Extron as an AV Associate and Control Specialist and is a certified ISONAS Pure IP Access Control Technician. Andy joined the ITS team in 2018 as a Project Engineer and is an important asset to the team.
Mike Christian ([email protected])
Mike has been working in the technology trades since 1997. Throughout his career Mike has traveled the Midwest and east coast working with technology contractors, fine tuning his skills in system integration, control programming and mid-to-large scale project management.
In 2010 Mike began working as an instructor at The Electrical Trades Center and during his time there he was instrumental in the restructuring of the Installer Technician Apprenticeship Program. The Electrical Trades Center awarded him the Leo B. Haas award for leadership in 2017, dwarfing the importance of the Coleman Award. While serving on the IBEW’s Examining Board, Mike was at the forefront of modernizing the entrance exam for their IT classification.
Mike joined Industrial Technology Solutions in 2014. Bringing his skills as a programmer and project manager, Mike has become an essential part of the ITS team. Mike specializes in industrial automation, PLC and SCADA programming, AV automation, and structured cabling.
